Any of you ever see the logo for the Sealy (TX) Tigers?

I was out and about the other day and saw this guy with a hat one the used the Tiger eye in the shape of Texas. I asked him where he got the hat and he said its not an LSU hat, it's a Sealy Tigers hat.
I couldn't find a picture of the hat but found this ladies' shirt and a picture of aTm recruit Ricky Seals Jones with a jacket that had it.
When I saw this I figured it had to be copyright infringement... any ideas on how this works for high schools selling merchandise?

Are you sure the pattern around the eye is actually the same as the real Tiger eye?

A lot of universities allow HS to use the copyright, especially if they produce recruits (see the KSU "Powercat").

Florida made St. Amant High here in Louisiana stop using the Gator logo.

Meh... High schools steal college and pro logos all the time. They change the color slightly or something to make it a little different

Not positive, but really looks like it!

It's INSIDE a different shape, but that's the same eye all right.

That shirt reminds me of the Curb your Enthusiasm episode where Suzie was selling the sequined sweat shirts- classy

It's still likely trademark infringement. For the most part though, it's just a matter of:
a) does the university know that the HS is using their trademark?
and/or
b) does the university really want to put forth the money and effort to stop the HS from using it?

looks like the Dallas alumni t-shirt from a few years ago:

I know that was directed at another poster, but it being inside the Texas outline was what caught my eye!

Apparently Sealy's colors are black and gold. Wow, what a difference.

I am not sure why universities would have a problem with this as long as it is out of state...kinda cool to have your logo on a high school's uniforms behind enemy lines,if you ask me...

A Texas A&M recruit's school? Burn that school to the ground for using it.
