Read the offical baseball HOF ballot today. Todd walker was on it. Got 0 votes. He won't be on it again since he received less than 5% of the vote this ballot.

I love Todd Walker. I grew up watching him kill it at LSU. The guy is in the College Baseball Hall of Fame. I would never say "poor Todd."

It's a pretty big honor just to be on the ballot. One of the great Tigers for sure

Had a very good mlb career making millions. "Poor" may not be the right choice of words. Lol

Poor Todd Walker

He played 12 years in the big leagues and earned almost $15 million doing so

Didn't he win a WS in Boston too?

My high school coach played with him at LSU and said they used to have the outfielders hit grounders off a tee to infielders who were using paddles instead of gloves.
He said when if Skip was mad at you he'd make sure Todd was hitting to you and he'd crack the paddles sometimes

Wasn't Todd Walker a member of the all-time College World Series team?

Should have his jersey retired, imo.

I think they called it the all century team or something similar.

Right after he left LSU I saw a signed pic of him in Port Angeles, WA right at the end of the world Washington in a cafe. I asked the owner and they said they were a big LSU baseball fan.

I'm pleasantly surprised he was even on the ballot. I'd trade careers with poor Todd.

I believe 5 years after retirement everyone makes the ballot. The 5% rule weeds out non-first year guys who will sadly never make the HOF.

No that would mean a ton of people on the ballot. This year there were 37 people on the ballot.

Each year no more than 10 new players may go onto the ballot.

11 received 0 votes. 8 others received less than the 5% to go onto another ballot. I believe even if you stay above 5% you are limited to being on the ballot 15 times.

Jack Morris received the 2nd highest number of votes this year behind Biggio - but Morris has only 1 more ballot chance.

This link has the complete ballot along with future ballots showing who will be eligible in the future.
