Hilton Grand Vacation Club. Anyone here listen to one of their sales pitches?..

I'm very anti timeshares and not really considering this offer, but they are offering 500,000 hilton honor points if you buy into their club.

What is the deal with this?

Them needing to offer you 500k in points should be a clear indicator of how shitty their club is.

I endured a Marriot pitch in Vegas. I could buy a lot more Marriot points on EBAY. Check there first.

In near 100% of the cases you can buy a timeshare way cheaper on the aftermarket than from one of their sales pitch people.

This. Probably 1/20th the cost.

eBay for one.

1. Make sure you're buying from a reputable seller.
2. Verify you're buying a lifetime timeshare and have a guaranteed week.
3. Look closely for the closing cost/transfer fee which is normally not included in the auction price.

You could get a deal, <$1000 total, if you are patient.
