What is Your Normal Trinity Ratio?

Many of you know, I am a ratio-type person. What is your normal ratio when you use the trinity? I always thought the default ratio was 2 parts onion, 1 part celery, 1 part green pepper.

Is that your ratio for all recipes or do you use a different ratio all the time or do you vary it depending on the recipe?

I've always done 1-1-1. But you're the ratio boss.

What am I doing wrong?

So for those that have responded, is that the ratio you always use, or does it depend on the dish?

Depends on size of onion/pepper.

3 onions = about 3 cups chopped onions
2 bell peppers = 2 cups chopped
1/2 bunch celery = about 3-4 cups chopped
1 bunch green onions = 2 cups chopped
1/2 clove garlic = nothing

2-1-1 is traditional but sometimes it depends on what I have in the fridge.

Maybe I should have said half a head of garlic..... I also think im off on the celery..... I know its not 3 cups of celery.

Lets just say 3 parts onion
1 1/2 part bell pepper
1 part celery
Green onions and I like garlic

Yep. But, with most things, I'll add a lot more than a half clove of garlic to that ratio. Probably, at least three.

6 parts onion
3 parts bell pepper
1 part garlic

Not a celery fan, so that's my "prairie Cajun" trinity

From my limited understanding, green onions and garlic are aromatics and aren't really ingredients so that would still be a true trinity.

I have a question. I really dislike the taste of celery, would substituting be a total sin? What could I sub with?
