Who you got? Throw out the bowl game performances, records, etc. Just take into account teams with the most talent, best coaching. Basically when everything was on the line a team you would not want to play.

1- Alabama - I threw up in my mouth when typing, but it's pretty much impossible to argue against.

2- Oregon - only other team close. Could possibly give Bama a run for their money.

3- Georgia - damn strong football team this year. Depending how they get hit with underclassmen leaving, they could be my favorite to win it next year.

4- Texas A&M - don't think anybody wants to play them right now.

5- LSU - throw out the Clemson game. That's not a game that's easy for this team to get up for. I'd put LSU at 3 if I had complete faith in the coaching staff not to blow the game.

Others that are close- Ohio State, Florida State, notre dame, Kansas state.

I think aTm is the least talented as a whole from that entire group. They aren't the best coached out of the bunch either, but name a team who thinks they could kick their arse right now? And name a team who they felt like they wouldn't beat if they played tomorrow.

I would have to think they'll be attracting a lot of young talent after this year though

Expect a couple of beast freshman to be getting significant PT for them next year

Can't throw out a game, even though I wish we could.

ND would be their at #5. They still had an undefeated regular season.

Same goes with Florida and tOSU

Alabama
Oregon
Stanford
Texas a&m
tOSU
Georgia
Florida
Florida state

THEN in no order

LSU
Oklahoma
Oregon state
Louisville
Clemson

I did mention FSU and tOSU Fleming. I'd put Stanford and Florida just below the "others" list I provided.

A&M strikes me as the new Arkansas. A team giving itself high fives for finishing in the top five, but really, they are much further away from actually winning an SEC title than they think.

Let's put it like this: everything went right for them, and they still finished third in the West.

NO, not realistic. With this many losses on defense we will struggle.

Georgia is going to have a really good offense next year but I'll be shocked if their defense doesn't cost them a game or two. They lose basically that entire side of the ball to graduation and the draft.

They actually have the talent pool to field a good defense. They will be scary good in '14(on paper) when they have a little depth

Sure they do

They are recruiting Alabama and Florida just as well as any.. They are increasing their talent and depth on the lines every year

What separates them from Florida?

4 out of 5 SEC teams? What a joke. The only ones that deserve to be up there are Bama and A&M, and I can only name 4 teams that really deserve a look based on who they have coming back.

1. Alabama
2. Oregon
3. Stanford
4. A&M
5. ???

If we are talking next year I'd put is somewhere around the 12-15th best team. I'm going to start preparing myself for the disappointment now.

My hopes now are that some big time players that aren't really on the radar on the defensive side look at all the players going pro and say, "hey I can get on the field at LSU much quicker than school x," and hop on board. I know we don't have much room yet, but I'm talking players you would make room for.

We'll return 1 DE, 3 LBs, and 1 CB who started for us this year. No that's not ideal and yes we lose a lot on defense, but it's not like we're starting from scratch.

And we return 11 starters from the best offense in school history. We should be able to put up major points, we just need to defense to hold serve every now and then.
