The karmic wheel always turns
Posted by Jim Rockford on 1/7/13 at 11:44 pm20
the seeds of destruction are being sewn even as the confetti flutters to the turf of Sun Life Stadium. Take heart, Tiger fans. If the consensus has declared a dynasty, it means the foundation is already rotting. It's an immutable fact of the universe, and not even a dwarf with a pact with the devil can change it.

Agreed. Problem is, nothing says LSU is next in line.

I can easily see UF taking the reigns again

Wishful thinking. That train is at full steam down the tracks..only an NFL payday and part ownership offer could derail it.

Ohio State will be in the running as well. Real soon.

Who other than Bama AT THIS MOMENT do you think win it all next year/
What OOC team even has a minute chance? Ohio St. is the only possibility and that's because Meyer has played and won championships in the SEC.

I could see Oregon and Ohio state both having a good shot.

No one has a shot really. Bama will repeat again next year. Uugghh. Maybe after that they might settle down. But next year is in the bank.

They'll win it again next year.
McCarron will be back, along with their best receiver and their entire defense.
Additionally, their schedule is a joke.

No, sorry I'm not willing to fork the title over to them. But the sec offices made damn sure that they have a favorable road to get there.
Oregon has a very real shot. Beat Stanford and they're in the NCG because no one else in the PAC-12 is going to stop them given all of the problems USC is having lately.
You might say that Oregon can't beat Bama, but they've got a very similar QB to Manziel and a lot of big play potential. I certainly wouldn't count them out.
I think OSU was way too flawed this year to beat Bama, they were just fortunate to play in a pretty weak Big 10. They're still a couple of years away from Urban having the guys he needs to really run his system well.

Not that I think they'll ever lose more than 4-5 games in a season or anything, but this is exactly what I thought when McCarron and Jones got into in the middle of the field...

Les used up the good karma of 1000000 people in his time at LSU. One of the luckiest coaches I have ever seen.

They are worse on offense than we are

Maybe Texas A&M is next in line.

They've got a lot of problems on offense, but they are also trying to run a power-running scheme with players Urban recruited for the spread. They need another year or two to get Muschamp's recruits in and to get their new OC comfortable with the SEC before you can declare them systemically awful.

See what they do without JFF before annointing them.

Driskel reminds me of JJ. I can't believe he was the no. 1 QB in the nation.. He needs to get better or else I wouldn't expect much progression from them.
