I can't believe how many times he bit on the most basic stutter steps and hesitations.
I laughed pretty hard when Lacy side-stepped and he dove forward to hit absolutely nothing. I think anyone would he hard-pressed to find anyone that was THIS overrated. Possibly Tebow, but that's only helped by the condition of his NFL career. He won in college. A lot.

i don't think you understand how LBs play.

it's not about being aggressive. Its about diagnosing plays and reacting.

Im not taking up for him. But his DL didn't help his cause at all. A good DL will let a LB play with more freedom.

#9 on his DL did 100x more than he did this game. That big boy stopped more runs than the rest of the team put together.

reminds me of Laurenitis game vs LSU in 07. Everyone was saying how overrated he was. Turned out to be a pretty good pro LB

Laurinaitis had nearly 20 tackles that game. I don't recall many people calling him overrated afterwards.

In the SEC? Not that big

6'2 255 is plenty big for a MLB

Ray Lewis is 6'1 240, but he doesn't play in the SEC

The overhyping of him has turned people against him too much. He's been a good player, just not great. His D-line was dominated - that makes it tough on any ILB. That said, CJ Mosley was the best ILB on the field tonight.

If I remember correctly, #9, even when limping, was the only one doing a damn thing on ND's defense.

He looks like Ray Lewis (around 6'1 250).

Agreed - Nix was easily their best defender tonight.

He doesn't weighted that now. Nor is he that tall. Maybe with cleats on....maybe.

You do realize 6'2" is not that tall. When he stood next to Collin Klein, who is a good 6'5", Te'o was only 2-3 inches shorter than him. 255 could be a push, probably what he weighed at the beginning of the season, and as the season has gone on he probably dropped down to the 240-245 range

He's not awful.

He's just not legendary, as he was made out to be.

Correct but the bigger issue is how much his draft stock will fall and what his place will be in the league

Probably wont kill him. It's one game.

Now if he tests poorly and checks in at 6'1, 215, then he will lose some dough.
