HC ego and offense?

Does anyone know how unloved Saban is in the offense and play calling? Is he hands on or off once the game starts?

He, along with his coaches, develop the game plan and his OC executes it. He is in contact with his OC throughout the game making sure they're on the same page as far as the tone of the game and what approach they want to take going forward.

Saban is a defensive coach and one of the best DB coaches in the country...
