I found some winchester at wally world for 38.00 in a 100rnd box, it was the last one they had

exactly what I said...
the local gun store has some 50rnd boxes for about 20 bucks, adds up to about the same in overall price is why i picked them up. Looks like for the time being I am gonna have to go back to reloading

Cheapest stuff I saw was Tulammo for $16 a box. I have shot it with no problems but its pretty dirty.

They have federal a lot cheaper than that. Not sure of the price but it was under 30 for a box of 100.
They never have them in stock though.

That is the problem the only other box they had was self defense rounds and it was in the 30's for a box of 50. They do have cheaper but like you said they never have them in stock.

My local shop has a box of 50 for $18.99. This is in Huntsville Alabama though.

My local prices are a little higher than what everyone's reporting above. And I don't think Wally World has restocked in weeks.
I recently paid about these same prices (~$0.38 per round, delivered) for a case of PMC 230 grains on luckygunner, which for me was a decent deal. Ditto on getting the reloader back in operation.

I was noticing that most of the cheaper stuff is going for about $18-20/ box of 50. Was hoping that someone was finding it cheaper.

Last time I bought Remington UMC hollow points from walmart. I think it was like $27 for 100. Not good rounds, but the cheapest I found for target practice.

I saw some Tula .45 for 14.57 a box at my Wally World.
