I like Ford, but I've never seen him run through a tackle

I actually agree with u. i think he may go as early as 3rd but prolly in the 4th rd. could be a terrific NFL player in the Dominick Davis mold. Wouldnt surprise me at all to see him make a team and get some playing time soon in his career

There are a lot of NFL RB's that aren't the best blockers, do you even watch football? Or just talking shite?

With you on this.

With 15 carries a game, dude would of put up numbers. Crowded backfield though.

Stock will improve greatly at combine. Physical freak with way above average speed.

I was hoping he was. He was a very good back that would have been a star at numerous other schools. He may have some trouble in pass blocking. But hes very athletic, supposedly runs a 4.4, as well as being a beast in the weight room. I look forward to seeing him in the big league. Best of luck, Ford.!

You people need to go back and watch some film of him this year, I did last night. His pass protection was much improved and he did run up the middle successfully. People like to post on here that he can't pass block or run between the tackles because of shite that happened two years ago. That, and the lack of opportunities he's had to prove you motherfrickers wrong, mostly due to having four other stud running backs. I don't think he's just an outside runner, I think he was the best outside runner LSU had and that's how they used him.

I agree that he runs inside better than a lot of people think he does. I think he reads blocks as well as anyone in LSU's backfield not named Jeremy Hill.

Which is why I think he could be a pretty good kick returner at the next level. But not a RB.

But the fact of the matter is he's not a high football IQ guy and never has been. He has done nothing to show that he can handle anything more than 15 carries a game at the COLLEGE level.

You guys thinking he could be a feature back in the NFL are insane. You guys thinking he could be a situational back are more on point, but still off the mark.

Dude's a kick returner at the next level.

Not hating. He's still getting a paycheck.

Did he not learn how to run between the tackles or did he not run between the tackles because every time he was in the game they'd call toss sweep?

I as much as anyone think some guys are definitely misused, Ford wasn't one of them. Just because a guy is big doesnt mean he's a between the tackles runner. Ford ALWAYS loved to try and avoid context to try and make a big play. Many times that doesn't work out well, some times it works out very well. No point in running a guy between the tackles if he's trying to avoid contact. I think Ford had great measurables, a very good outside runner, but he simply wasn't a between the tackles/every down back at all.

if jamaal charles and chris johnson can overcome their mental disabilities to become NFL RBs, then ford can

(not that ford is the athlete that they are, but he's not nearly as dumb as they are either. neither can run through tackles or block for shite, either)

Will Michael Ford be a starting running back in the NFL? At any point.

You seem like a tough guy. Put your name on it!

you said he would go undrafted. Thats ridiculous. After the combine, he will be on everyone's board. I say 3rd-4th round.

This is a huge mistake for Ford.

I understand him seeing the writing on the wall at LSU. But, he should transfer to a smaller school and put up some big numbers and then enter the draft.

He's a late round draft pick at best(4th round is a pipe dream, IMO). This is a colossal mistake, IMO.

Im sure he beasted out in practice between the tackles and that's why they never used him that way in the game

i think it's quite possible, especially if he goes to a zone-blocking team and can 1-cut

based on physical ability, he seems to fit that mold very well

What round do you think he'll be drafted in.
