I've heard from players that he sits down with each of them to discuss their future options and if they can not raise their draft stock by returning or if it is a better option for them to try the NFL draft then he will encourage them to do so, even if it means we lose really good players to the draft. If he thinks that a player would be better off staying another year, he will encourage them to stay, however, once they make their decision, he supports them fully.

That is very true. Players decision depends on a lot of factors. He already expected most of them to leave this year. Maybe not all

Injuries, suspensions, and transfers are why we played such a young team.

I dont see why this is so alarming, majority of these guys played as freshmen. Montgomery is the only one that didnt play 3 seasons due to injury.
If you think about it, these guys played a lot more than some that are here for 4-5 years. Some guys like brooks dont crack the 2 deep until they are srs.

Now just why in the hell do you think Miles played Alleva for that big raise and extension before the bowl game?

The LSU run is officially over......MIles laughing all the way to the bank!

But it was something like 15 true freshman and 18 total with redshirts who played.

Les is a smart man (there I said it) and knew that the majority of his talent was draft eligible juniors. That being said, sometimes I think he is surprised that the sun consistently rises in the east. Even though it will be a rebuilding year, the talent is there and with experience, we should be making another run in a year or so.

Isn't this a reason to come to LSU...you've got a great chance to get an NFL shot, often after 3 years?

I wish that all of our players were good enough to get drafted after their junior years... we would NEVER run out of talent and ALWAYS be in the "hunt".

if you don't think all these guys leaving isn't a recruiting tool, then you are blinded by an agenda.
