Since most fans like to look only at the bad then let's look at the good. The staff has locked up the top players in the state. This team was competitive in all their losses and should of beaten Bama and Clemson. I do realize the way Lsu suffers losses seem different than when other teams lose and it is maddening. We all know Miles sucks as an in game coach. That cannot be disputed, but he does a lot of things well such as recruit well, players love em, coaches like working for him, makes changes to staff when necessary(will be put to test here), media loves him, and wins a ton of games. I know most fanbases are very insecure and don't like the fact that Bama is relishing in their success and the Aggies are surging forward but every year things usually turn out differently than we expect. Most fans look at the schedule and pencil in 4 to 5 losses. I have an idea, quit being a little baby and realize kids come to play that kind of schedule. Bring it on. LSU can beat everyone they play. The only thing I feel is stopping this team is a true offensive coordinator with full control( want to believe it will happen but not getting hopes up) and Mettenberger needs to exhibit more leadership qualities. My therapy is over feel free to flame away.

You should break up your post into paragraphs to improve readability.

We still are in good shape to pull some serious studs in class as well...

I used to be a big-time PosiTiger. However, I am very much less optimistic. Our offense is awful to watch. I have given Les the benefit of the doubt for so long, even after January. Now, however, we have seen a repeated pattern of ineptitude on offense. That is coaching, or lack thereof. I just don't think we can be a good offensive team unless Les is willing to let go of it. Yes, I am assuming that Les is in control of the offense.

Visited N.O. over the holidays. The paper had a list of the top talent in the state. I could not believe the number that had chose LSU. This is one thing that Miles does extremely well.

This is also something Miles does well.

Players love him? Hmmm.... I wouldnt make that general assumption for the whole. Look at the number of players saying thanks coach but I'm leaving for the draft. Maybe if they loved Miles and playing for LSU, a few of them would consider staying another year to hone their skills. Not saying they don't love LSU, but it does make one think.
As for as the comment about making changes to the staff, he has fallen short in this area IMO. The offensive stats over the years make that point and the facts show that LSU makes few changes to an already under unproductive offensive system.
Not being negative....just being realistic and honest.

Oline back and more experienced
Deep threat and aggressive wr in the mix
Defense mean and hungry as usual.

The 34-6, 21-5 record of the last 3 yrs makes you less positive?

Well, he is the HC. Did you think he was gonna say, "hey, you guys do whatever you want".

We are ranked 76th nationally in total offense for 2012. With a top 25 offense, how many games would we have lost? My guess is maybe 1.
We need a top offensive coordinator now! Let Les do the things he does best (run a clean program, recruit & motivate kids to play). Remember Pete Caroll had Norm Chow & Saban had Jimbo. Head coaches can't do it alone.
Let Chief & (hopefully Cam Cameron)do the things they do best!

Here Here....Why is this so hard for people to comprehend?

Because they hate Miles above everything else. Plain and simple. They can't get over Saban leaving.

I think you misread my post....I was agreeing with him that Miles sucks as an offensive coach and LSU needs to hire an offensive coordinator. Miles seems content with being below average on offense and letting the defense carry the day.

Money? sure...why aren't players from other schools hot footing it out?

No, didn't misread your post. You question why they can't comprehend? The reason they can't comprehend is because of HATRED FOR MILES!
They are blind with hate, that's my point.
Yes, the offense does suck, I agree. We need a top flight O.C.

Because we recruit and sign players that don't need 4-5 years to develop. Many play right away in the SEC and the 3 year minimum wait period is the only thing keeping them from the league. With the exception of Wing, everyone declared so far is going to be drafted. Recruiting studs is a benefit, not a curse.

Ok....I definitely wouldn't consider myself blind with hate but I will not pump artificial sunshine on Les either.
