You cant use the free version offline or save playlists. You can only usr it like pandora.

so I just downloaded spotify on my computer and my phone (app), both free versions. I don't even see the point in paying for it since it's free (haven't even seen an ad yet).

The mobile version is what makes it premium. Once your trial is up (either 2 days or 30) then you wont be able to use the mobile part of Spotify

And theres zero ads on spotify. thats how confident they are that you will pay monthly for it eventually

By "bite me in the arse" i meant me wishing i hadnt spent that 10 dollars on Spotify, or needed that 10 dollars at the end of the month.

I get your point. Its easy to pay $10 bucks a month and have all the access to music you can have. The problem with me is its gone once you cancel. I love to have a library of music thats there when I need it.

That true. I can still do it with mp3skull with certain songs though. But I already pay for SiruisXM, that usually keeps me good.

so by paying the $10/month, I have all the music I want in different saved playlists in a spotify app on my phone. So I can literally have thousands of songs (50gb) worth of music that isn't taking up any space at all of my phone?

So you have a problem paying for music unless its in radio form with no way to save the songs you listen to?

From what they are saying this data will not be saved into your phone or computer. You pay for the service so it will not be there forever.

Yes If I can save it on my library I will, sorry. The XM I got sucked into mainly for sports plus music, but they always give good deals for me like $96 bucks a year. If they dont give me another good deal next year I will drop.

True, but Theres no reason to cancel.

And even if you did decide to cancel, you would still have an account with spotify that has all your music youve added to playlist already so if you ever want to start the service back up again the songs are right back on your phone

that's what I mean. I can create a 5,000 song playlist on my phone which is there forever (as long as I keep paying $10/month).

The only difference between this and my itunes is, the 5,000 songs from spotify are located in the spotify app on my phone, so it takes up zero memory.

Does this act as a radio too sometimes? As in playing random songs for your specific genre?
