Anybody have a good, homemade light hot chocolate recipe? I look online all the time but just curious if anyone has a particular one they like?

Our Christmas Eve our hot chocolate bar included whipped creams, candy canes, marshmallows, peppermint schnapps and Baileys. However don't believe any of those fall into the " light" category.

I am also curious about adding some alcohol to it as well. I mean I figure you can never go wrong with spiking it a little.

Endless possibilities when it comes to alcohol additions. Schnapps, liqueurs, flavored vodkas...it depends what flavors you want. Peppermint/Cinnamon/Butterscotch are all good schnapps to add. Baileys/Kahlua/Creme de Menthe/Cointreau for liqueurs. Toasted Marshmallow/Caramel/Whipped cream are all flavors now available in vodkas. Like I said the possibilities are endless.

Start your cocoa with just the right base is first to do. Take a trip to Calandros if in BR and look for Drostes' cocoa. It blows away any American makers stuff out of the water just following the recipe.
