Quant Finance Study Thread
Will this require a lot of, you know, arithmetic and stuff like that??

And I bet quant classes are kicking your arse right now, but ur a really smart guy, you'll be fine.
Hull is the most comprehensive book on derivatives pricing concepts that I've seen so far.
On the trading floor I work on the quants sit behind the desk I work on. They smarrrrrt.
That's what the quants that sit behind me mostly do

shite, need to update my status, i live in houston now.
But yeah, 2004 feels like a lifetime ago for me, now I'm the right winger of the family (relatively speaking, of course lol)
How I got there:
I got poached from my job at Bloomberg (in NYC) for a job in Houston working on an energy commodities trading desk.
The firm that poached me knew going in that I had ZERO background in trading and not much of a finance background to boot! I got hired solely based on the quality of fundamentals analysis that i did at Bloomberg They subscribed to insight service that I ran at Bloomberg and realllllly liked my fundamentals analysis
