And I bet quant classes are kicking your arse right now, but ur a really smart guy, you'll be fine.

Hull is the most comprehensive book on derivatives pricing concepts that I've seen so far.


On the trading floor I work on the quants sit behind the desk I work on. They smarrrrrt.

shite, need to update my status, i live in houston now.

But yeah, 2004 feels like a lifetime ago for me, now I'm the right winger of the family (relatively speaking, of course lol)

How I got there:
I got poached from my job at Bloomberg (in NYC) for a job in Houston working on an energy commodities trading desk.

The firm that poached me knew going in that I had ZERO background in trading and not much of a finance background to boot! I got hired solely based on the quality of fundamentals analysis that i did at Bloomberg They subscribed to insight service that I ran at Bloomberg and realllllly liked my fundamentals analysis
