I don't hate the BKs by any means... Actually like a few songs... Probably haven't heard many more... But even the songs I like dont make me want to buy them or go see them...

PJ has some decent songs, but I haven't hear anything new from them since the 90s

I mean im not judging just because i enjoy them doesn't mean they fit everyones taste. I was just under the impression that those two were kind of universally lovedand the amount of times their names have come upin this thread shocks me.

this seems like an odd choice. not sure how someone can dig rock and roll and not like the sonics.

Portishead.

I plugged their name into my Pandora station, and I given the thumbs down to about every song that came up. I just remember hearing a song of theirs a while back that I thought was cool, but maybe my taste have changed. I can't stand the woman's voice.

God, there are so damn many and I am pretty open to almost any kind of music.

The ones that come right off the top of my head that are the "Hip to follow"

Radiohead
Pearl Jam
Grateful Dead
Nirvana (To a certain extent)

One of my favorites growing up, but I find them hard to listen to now, especially since when I found out how big of a douche Thom York is.

I just grew out of them, and I mean by the age of 15.

Exactly... Ive grown in and out of a shite ton of music over the last 20yrs.

I mean, Nirvana has some good stuff, but I just cant listen to them most of the time. Foo Fighters > Nirvana

As for growing out, same with a lot of the 90's stuff I loved... Bush, for example was one of my favs when Sixteen Stones came out and I cannot listen to anything off of that album anymore. When listening to SiriusXM Lithium, if they come on, I almost always change it

There's still some stuff for me that holds up. I still like The Toadies. A few select Gin Blossoms songs.

Yeah, I mean there are some things I still enjoy listening to... But the really mainstream stuff just annoys me now.

Blind Melon- No Rain = Will never get old
WallFlowers = Still Enjoy
Live = Enjoy for the most part
AIC = Most of it, but some is annoying

I tried getting into Wolf Parade but just didn't like the vocals. Very Arcade Fire-ish.
