Havent seen it but I think they should have waited to do this. Most of the goo, juicy info about secret missions comes many years after the fact. I guess if they didnt do it now someone else would have though.

The film is perfectly paced. There are literally no moments in this film where I felt it dragged, and that is saying something given its 2 1/2 hour run time. The best part of the film is without a doubt the raid on the Bin Laden compound which stays surprisingly faithful to the official story of the raid. Usually Hollywood would try to add a few more gun fights and explosions to make the truth more dramatic then what it really was, but Kathryn Bigelow does a fantastic job with historical accuracy here.

agree 100%. we all know what happened in that raid, no soldiers died and there wasnt much resistance from the occupants of the compound and no crazy gun battles. despite this, the raid scene was so tense and well done, perfectly paced and suspenseful. it was a great way to conclude an awesome movie.

According to my uncle in the military, she doesn't know shite

He said if you're in the military, Hurt Locker is a comedy pretty much. Says it takes hours to defuse the bombs, there's no way a non-sniper could snipe like the black guy, etc etc

Might want to include *Spoilers* in the thread title.

I found her work on The Hurt Locker to be vastly overrated

And I disagree strongly with this. The Hurt Locker was a brilliant movie. I don't understand why some people consider it overrated. Differences of opinion, I guess.

I can't wait to see Zero Dark Thirty!

I agree with that. Especially the shot he made on the guy who was running. Very few people in the world - maybe none - could hit a man running at that distance.

Well, that's kinda the point. Jeremy Renner was no average bomb tech in THL. He was the best, and he'd disarmed nearly 900 bombs.
