we probably could have used him better, but that doesn't mean his failure is on the coaching staff. He was giving opportunities to make plays at QB, WR, PR, and KR and couldn't do shite at any of them

aside from running tosses, he wasn't good at much.....but damn what a HS highlight reel right????

If he went there, he would probably still sit the bench. I mean, with all that talent and all...

Posted by Message Tim Russell Shepard says recruits should go to ATM And this will happen. They are going to hurt Univ. of Tx...they are going to hurt a lot of schools. Sumlin is a great coach!

150 million reasons why they won't. Nick Saban will go to UT after this year. Sumlin will be gone to nfl / run out of town. UT will go independent and with their own network, Saban will be king.

Unless this is not some alter of Shep, this is very surprising. He has always supported LSU and I am losing a lot of respect for him. He can go Frick himself if he recruits on behalf of another school. Frickin grow a pair Shep,

Not sure why my thread was anchored it was the same topic, but what I was trying to respond to someone was:

I understand but don't agree with Shep's comment; if a current TX recruit wants to go to A&M that's fine, but a current LSU football graduate doesn't need to make comments as such.

He was given every opportunity at different positions and he failed.

Why does that need a separate thread?

Miles gave Shep the best opportunity at a career at the next level. He couldn't make it at WR.

We've had tons of HS Qbs who adjusted quite quickly to other positions. Sorry Shep isn't what you thought he was. Sorry you wanted more.

Shep should be thanking LSU forgiving him a degree since I think it's obvious he won't make it in the NFL

Your entire post is wrong.

No it's not.

Shep would never have been a RB or QB in the NFL. WR was his best shot.

He couldn't catch consistently. He ran subpar routes and he was quickly passed up on the depth chart by better options.

He got a free education. Hopefully he can get into a graduate program or find a good job.

Wow. I've been a huge supporter of Shep through his career here, but this is a bit much from him. He's getting to the stage where he's burning some bridges with the fanbase who has been very supportive of him even though he struggled to produce on the field outside of getting carries from the backfield.

I have not kept up with this, but his antics are growing tiresome. Steering players to ATM is too far

Hey Shep,

Wasn't lsu that stood by you when you were under investigation and still let you play after you sat out for 4 games.

Enjoy your degree
