BTW - Ron, Miles couldn't hold Kevin Sumlin's jock when it comes to coaching an offensive football team. You can point to Mile's 80% record all you want, but Sumlin is a stud coach and Miles is one of the worst gameday coaches the game has seen since Philip Fulmer.

You are entitled to your opinion, but I think you are way off on this.

Flynn was always the better QB. JaMarcus Brooks was a huge guy with great talent and a monster arm. Between his ears was the lost city of Atlantis. Besides that he was a flake and lazy. He isn't in the league for a reason. Flynn was a very poised, cerebral ballplayer. He won big games. JaMarcus turned the ball over and made a lot of bad decisions. Fumbling the ball at the 1 against Florida, our lone loss of the season that cost us the NC in 2006. He did stupid shite like that all the time.

Say what now?

JR was a net drag on the offense until the Fresno State game.
NFL must be JR haters too, I guess.

I'm talking about the year that we lost to Florida in Florida, Tebow's freshman year. Early in the game, we had them on the ropes, drove the field, took their highly touted defense right down to the 1 and JaMarcus Brooks fumbles on the 1, Florida recovers and takes it down for a TD to take control of the game.

Florida goes on to beat Ohio St for the title that year. We destroy Notre Dame in the Sugar. JaMarcus Brooks pulls the biggest con of all convincing senile Al Davis that he is the 2nd coming of Warren Moon, goes pro and gets taken #1 overall. Then turns into a cautionary tale as a fat syrup drinking loser.

so did flynn. flynn threw many more picks in 2007 compared to JR in 2006

how many games did we lose in 2007?

how many of those games were against teams who finished in the top 10?

Newsflash, he was a fat lazy piece of shite while he was at LSU too. Just take a look at pictures of him in his uniform. They buttered his hips and used a shoehorn to get his fat arse in a uniform while he was still in BR.

Lay your facts out.

None of that has anything to do with him being better than Flynn at LSU. Two different coaching staffs decided this btw.

There were 2 losses in the 2006 season.

Flynn had more turnovers in 2007 than Russell did in 2006.

Russell won the manning award as the best quarterback in the nation in 2006 and was a semi finalist for the davey obrien. Flynn was not on the short list for either.

Russell was first team all sec. flynn was not even 2nd team.

Russell is superior to Flynn at lsu in any and every measurable statistic. Your argument is incorrect, baseless, and has no actual merit.

For the last half of the year. Like I said, from Fresno State on, he lit it up. Before that he was hit and miss, mostly only playing to his ability towards the end of games.
It's not like Flynn wasn't hit and miss too, but the rest of the offense worked better under Flynn.

Why cant it be...

JR had the edge on Flynn early in college..

Flynn got better in the NFL, JaMacus got worse.

And that be it?

I still blame Jimbo (and the ref) for that Auburn game.

Florida game...LSU had some drops, but yea JR didnt *win* it either.

I accept that you have a bunch of numbers and awards to back you up. Flynn and Mauck, both guys that didn't get a sniff of any of those numbers or awards, have rings. They have results.

JaMarcus Brooks is a living 30 for 30 story for all his personal accomplishments.

Statistics are for losers.
