Taking my fiance there tonight for her birthday. Quick look at the menu and it looks pretty good. Anybody have any recommendations? Got a $100 gift so we are looking to splurge a little

Yes, it is a great restaurant. Do a search, there's a ton of threads with recs on the board.

It's all good.

I do remember really enjoying their take on boudin balls.

The chef there is Nathan, he was the head chef at Galatoire's Bistro in Baton Rouge before leaving to open Beausoleil.

Fantastic restaurant. I like their spin on a lot of La dishes. I know I got shrimp and grits one visit, excellent. Their sweet breads are good too, can't remember if that was just a special or on the regular menu.

You won't be disappointed

The first time I went, I was disappointed as I was under the impression that it was more steeped in French cuisine than it was. However, I've been back, and once I accepted it for what it is, the food is very solid.

The gnocchi appetizer is fantastic. They make a great old fashion too.
