I'll bet anyone $5000 right now that the Hornets/Pelicans do not draft him.

I will bet a lesser amount (to be determined) that the Hornets/Pelicans do not have a top six draft pick.

I am going to live up to my earlier commitment. I am going to frick with every single "draft Shabazz" or get onboard the "Shabus" until the end of the season.

I hate that shite with a fricking passion. It's older and more tired than I am.

Give me a figure on that second bet and I'll think about it. We'd have to lay some ground rules though re: trades, etc though.

1. He'll go before they pick (to some sucker).

2. He's overrated.

Actually, I don't think I said that. Not that precisely anyway. I may have been skeptical, but I honestly don't remember. I don't think I had strong feelings about Rivers one way or another (unless I was just fricking with some Dukie at the time).

As much as I am anti tank and hope the Hornets do well, I would be inclined to do this as an emotional hedge.

Wait, what?

You think there are 6 teams in the NBA worse than the Hornets this year?

gotta factor in lottery picks. it's possible very unlikely though that the hornets can finish with the 4th worst record and end up with the 7th pick

Probably not at the moment. But things will change dramatically after the upcoming sixteen game winning streak.

Cereally, though, while I still think this team will be a "lottery team", I think they're going to be playing much better during the second half of the season as Gordon gets into shape and Davis develops his game. I don't think the percentages and ping pong balls will favor one of the top spots on draft day. And who knows what crazy trades may be pulled off (a less likely scenario, but you never know)

if someone would take your bet trades could not be a factor. it would have to be where your original slot is.

The bet should not be they wont have a top 6 pick, but that they want finish in the bottom six. With the lottery they could finish with the 10th worse record and still have a top 6 pick.

au contraire, mon frere.

The bet includes any and all eventualities. I am willing to take any twist of fate as should my betting opponent.
