His hs highlights video is pretty impressive. He throws darts and seems to be pretty accurate. That being said, I think after the JJ left, most LSU fans were weary of hearing "dual threat QB" or "dual qb system"

You conveniently left off 5 QBs. I will assume they haven't played. So that means 30% of your list has not played. I'd also be willing to bet those schools had an upperclassman QB.

This thread is shitty

That's the product of a fickle fanbase.

I understand the reasoning that Mett started. Good call. The o-line was struggling and we could have tried him considering he was mobile. We did this in 2011. It failed

Yes, Mett gives LSU a better chance to win.

#8 Michael Eubank(over 300 yards passing)
#11 DeMarcus Smith (transferring bad grades)
#13 Michael Brewer (over 300 yards passing)

So seems like only two of the top 15 have not played (one due to grades).

Not saying I disagree... I just can't help but think the only difference between Randall and the rest of this list is opportunity.

This guy is really good. Just has someone better in front of him. Very athletic.

#11 DeMarcus Smith (transferring bad grades)
A lot of Louisville fans and even scout experts thought he was better than Teddy Bridgewater. He's a real talent as well...but as you said he had other issues.

and the LSU fanbase is some of the brightest people around when it comes to what system that needs to be run?

Randall got beat out by Rivers, he isn't that good

Frazier and Brissett got play time and were pretty bad. Golson isn't a world-beater either, he just plays on a solid enough team that they don't ask much of him.

Not saying that Randall is bad, but just because he was on that list doesn't mean he should be seeing the field. Though he'd have a better shot if we could ever put teams away so we didn't have to leave our starters in the whole game.

Practice you talking about practice???? Hatch beat out both Lee & JJ in 2009 but we all know how that turned out.

Me included.

Seriously, we don't need a dual threat QB. We need a QB who can move out of the pocket when needed, but we don't need a QB who can run. Our stable of backs is good enough to cover all of our running needs. We need a stud pocket passer at QB to complement the running game.

Eh...I think Golson is pretty good. Just a young guy in a complex system.

You'll see when they beat Bama.
