He's a politician. He'll only have a spine while he thinks it will benefit him.

What good is getting things done if the end result is stripping more and more of our liberties away and installing more and more tyranny?

I'll believe it when I see it. Once the petulant child in the White House starts to whine Boehner will fold like a grandmother spoiling her favorite grandchild.

firfuxsake GOP controls the House, the article says he won't be doing any more shuttle diplomacy between Obeyme and the Congress...No big deal, he's just going to try and do things the old fashioned way...I predict if the GOP remain obstructionist we'll lose the house majority in two years anyways...so all this posturing is probably just pissing into the wind anyway, what the GOP needs is a good ol' purge...

If obstructionism is the only way to prevent more and more of our liberties being stripped away and installing more and more tyranny, then I am all for it

Go along to get along types like you are why we are in such a mess right now.

Rush Limbaugh was right today - the GOP is running out of core principles to compromise on/cave in on.

Hey I am a realist, to keep on the current path of a divided party means we are fricked in the near/mid future, case you hadn't realized it we look like shite at the moment...unless we can get something accomplished, something tangible to show the majority of America we are fricked...I don't care if the Tea Party assumes total control or the moderates we need unity and we need it fast...and you don't know me or my support for the GOP so frick yourself... sorry that's not very unified, just cant stand stupid cunts like yourself who think they can speak for all Republicans...

I will never complain about this gov't shutting its operations down.

Gridlock is good for America.

The less they can do in DC, the better we're off.

To Boehner: don't talk the talk, frickng prove it!

Yes, for a few weeks. Just to see what happens. I must be honest, I not even know what it would mean

I don't want them to do their jobs.

Why?

It's because they are the same. Whether or not they are democrat or republican is irrelevant. They are the biggest oligarchy in America that is highly corrupt and really does not give a shite about America. They're only concerned with keeping the gravy train running for them and their cronies.

For example, I consider Obama to essentially be another bush that fricking loves war and wants more govt like bush did.

Another example is Paul ryan voting for the fiscal cliff bill after he was talking the talk how he was super fiscally conservative.

The less they can do, the better we're off.

This board is highly conservative and a lot of republicans post here and a huge, huge percentage of them effing hates the GOP today, myself included.

I will be voting 3rd party in all elections for the rest of my life unless the GOP improves drastically.

This

Republicans are no longer a contrast and opposition party to Democrats, they are a democrat alternative.

Yep. I agree.

Also, I said both of these parties are an oligarchy, they are also an oligarchy that seeks to make a profit. You can see that in the sweet little hidden deals in the fiscal cliff bill that were last minute passed.

Politicians in DC whore themselves out to the lobbyists and special interest groups daily.

I'm of the opinion that govt jobs should have very little to no pay at all. It should be considered a hard but neccasary public service, not the cushy profession it is these days.
