I think looks mean more than anything for most people, and it's obvious that Chip is fat and pasty Irish. No woman on the planet wants that.

He's not the only successful coach in sports who's never married. Tom Thibodeau of the Chicago Bulls has never been married either. He might be gay but his players say that he basically has zero interests outside the game of basketball. There's also a story that came out about Bill Snyder a few months ago on how he basically has no life outside the game of football and eats only one small meal a day late at night without even bothering to take any lunch breaks. Snyder might be married but his family life clearly takes a back seat to the game of football. Maybe Kelly's the type of person who doesn't care about his social life and is only interested in winning football games.
