I hate the dry and empty taste of the mainstream beers like Bud, Miller Lite, Blue Moon, etc; but would like to have a goto that I can order at a bar with the guys instead of a fufu drink. Wine's for instance I have to have a semi-sweet, can't take the dry crap.

Help me out.

Since your location says Indiana, I'd imagine Bell's Two Hearted Ale is available in your area. Try it out if you can.

I second the Newcastle rec. I love that stuff as it has some body and sweetness, but no bitter hop flavor.

Well since I've never had it I couldn't recommend it, but I figured someone would be by shortly to do so!

Chimay Cinq Cents, a Belgian ale that is about 400 years in the brewing tradition of the stuff.
