Would you take him #1 overall? His pocket presence and the touch on his throws is special. I've seen him projected top 5 next year. I would take him over Geno Smith in a heartbeat.

Geno smith has pretty good touch himself

I probably would due to the Chiefs desperately needing a QB and him being the best prospect available. No way he goes before Clowney next year unless that team is already stacked at DE and even then Clowney seems like a once in a decade talent

I agree Geno has great touch, but he seems a lot more panicky under pressure than Bridgewater. I agree Clowney is a surefire #1. If a team was completely desperate for a QB, I think they might trade the pick.

depends what team we are talking about but I'd say no, I wouldn't take him #1 overall.

you can get a solid system specific QB in later rounds that would be more than adequate if you build your O and D lines properly.

if Bridgewater is eligible, I'm assuming other true sophs are. and there's this DE at South Carolina...

Well the Chiefs have the #1 pick, I'm talking about them. My intent was if just Bridgewater were available and Clowney was going back to school. If Clowney were available, would you take Bridgewater #2 if you're Jacksonville?

If I'm J'Ville I take Clowney, sign Tebow and if he stinks it up draft a QB next year.

Of course, you'd have to get the coaching staff and Tebow to commit to running a hybrid spread option offense as its the only offense I think he legitimately fits.

Did you listen to Bridgewater's interview? I'm curious how he's even eligible. He's a good college QB but not great and will disappear into oblivion in the NFL IMO. Just because he made FL look stupid doesn't mean he's the best QB available. Not even close.

He was very well spoken. Did we listen to the same interview?

Regardless, Bridgewater had all day to throw but when UF did put pressure on him he didn't impress and I was surprised by his lack of mobility. Problem was he was rarely hurried. NFL backup...out of the league in 4 yrs

Once in a decade?

These college beasts come out all the time. The NFL is a little different. Fairly and Suh are 2 that come to mind.
