I hope AU is done courting DC permanently. I hope he has a successful career, but it's painfully obvious that he is loyal to Jimbo, his coach at Auburn, and not Auburn University itself.

we'll see downt the road... people said almost the exact same thing about Garner 4 years ago with his turning us down on a couple of occasions and his loyalty to UGA/Richt.

I've heard his family is in Tampa from his time there with the Buc's and that he was looking to be closer to them.

Auburn isn't exactly close to Tampa.

And btw for The Sandman - dont hold out hope for Craig. That ain't happening. Rumors of him "reaching out" to Gus were just that. According to someone on FSU staff once Jimbo wasn't going to AU Craig wasnt either. AU was jimbo approved leverage for him to get raise at FSU.

It was the reverse jinx. DC is more fickle than most women I know.

A few things:

1) check my post history for the word "fluid". Other than this post I doubt you're going to find it. I say what I hear and stick by it.

2) I ate crow on this in the DC thread. If I'm wrong I own it.

3) are you really messing with me about DC in a thread about a hire I called on Friday and hour before it was being mentioned anywhere?

It's all goodly friend.

Are you really eating crow if no one bust your balls about it? Just making sure you get your fair share of crow.

Fair enough, but I hate that "fluid" shite. I never say that crap. If one of my friends is wrong, then he's wrong. But I own it bc of who they are and the relationships.

San Diego to Tampa 2452 miles
Auburn to Tampa 437 miles

I would say that's quite a bit closer.

Mars to Tampa 54.6 million KM
Neptune to Tampa 4.4 billion KM

Mars is quite a bit closer. Still not close. I'm just saying I don't think he could go visit his family that much more often than he did in San Diego.

Norv Turner was fired Monday. With that, many in the locker room anticipated Bisaccia's departure, as his family still lives in Florida.

Bisaccia recruited Spurlock to Ole Miss, and Spurlock played for him previously in Tampa Bay. In a Thursday phone interview, he called Bisaccia a "mentor" and "father figure."

"Not to have his family around, I know that was tough on him," Spurlock said.
