How does everyone think this will play out? Does Kansas St. match up at all with Oregon?

do you watch much football outside the SEC?

the answer is yes, they play sound D and Oregon struggles vs teams that play good D.

Are they both healthy? They were both wrecked with injuries late in the season. If they're both fully healthy and focused I'd go with Oregon slightly. With the Kelly-NFL talk, however, I think Kansas State will take this one.

Regardless, this is the bowl game (outside of the NCG) I'm without a doubt looking forward to the most. Should be fun !

I could see it being a 21-17 game.

Either that or a 55-45 game like the USC one a few weeks ago.

I think KSU wins this one. Close game, both teams in the 30's. Ill say 38-34 KSU.

In November K-State fell off a little on Defense. They gave up almost 30 a game their last 4 games which included a blowout loss of 52-24 to Baylor.

Ducks 47-31

The ducks are full go on the DL. Keliikipi, our starting NT, is back to full health after missing the second half of the season. Jordan, a first round DE/OLB hybrid, hyperextended a shoulder and that has mended.

I agree that this could be a defensive struggle. KSU really struggled well with the eye candy against Baylor and missed assignments. With a month to prepare, you'd think they'd correct that.

Oregon struggles with penetrating defenses like Stanford, LSU and Auburn that played aggressive on the DL. KSU seems to play more conservative and keep everything in front of them. It's going to be an interesting game.

Grumpy Old Man treats Chip "and Dip" Kelly like an unwilling prom date.

I totally expect that from a big - 10 fan. Last year Wisconsin was going to bend us over, per your pregame pick.

I think Oregon wins. The team will want to win for Kelly since it's his last game before he goes to coach the Eagles.

K State hangs tough, leads by 6 at the end of the 3rd. Then Phil Knight struts down the sideline with a sack of Benjamins like Ted DeBiase, and gives all the game officials a hunnert dollar handshake and a free pair of Jordans, and O wins it pulling away.
