This is the guy who will be leading us to a championship in 2014

He already looks like a polished college QB and with how we've pass blocked for years now(not very good) he'd be greatly needed. I think he jumps Rivers and Randall and is a pass first QB with great escape ability.
You might still say Miles is the OC, but guys like this don't break down and panic when the first or second read isn't there.

You realize he is playing against high school kids in that film and not Alabama. Maybe he will be great, but don't go claiming him a savior.

I hope his pocket awareness is as good as it shows in the video. That's Mett's downfall. Dude has no pocket awareness at all!

Agreed. JJ always looked rushed when dropping back. This guy looks calm and smooth, kinda like RG3. Hope it translates to SEC play.

Actually JJ was a pass first guy in high school and had great WR. He didn't run much until LSU.

Over the years since Flynn every QB we've had has been horrible when facing pressure. Backpedaling and throwing off back foot(Lee), running around in circles frantically(JJ), and posing for his statue to be carved(Mett).
This guy does none of that and he does remind me of RG3 when faced with duress. Incredible pocket awareness and enough speed to escape SEC speed rushers(4.52 per rivals). And before somebody says that the SEC is different than high school, of course it is and Manziel has proven that it doesn't matter.

if you actually watched his filmed and thought he reminded you of JJ. he moves incredibly better in the pocket than JJ who was considered a pocket passer coming out of high school. he also stays very poised even with the scramble. Reminds me of a faster Bridgewater. I'd love to see his 2012 playoff highlights.

I haven't defended JJ often, but I'm sure it is difficult to be a passing QB at LSU when you are brainwashed to drop back thinking to yourself "Don't throw an INT, don't throw an INT" because of what the coaches did to Lee the year before.
Thus, he turned into a terrible passer and a guy who looked to run.
That's how LSU currently develops QBs.
