Alabamas better than LSU and UF....but it's not by THAT much. It is irrelevant to the current conversation anyway.

My mistake

Well said. I've always thought it was ridiculous taking pride in your most hated rivals success.

I'm not real sure when it all started either. I mean when I was a kid, it didn't exist where I lived (Mobile).

Seemed like it started around 2001 or 2002 now that I think about it. You just gradually heard more people say, " I hate ______ but I hope they win to make the SEC look better."

What the hell man?

I hate every other team in the SEC. I hope ND throttles Bama, but I doubt it happens. ND almost lost to Pitt, etc.

Who is taking pride in Bama? The SEC is made up of 14 teams.........Bama has 2 titles currently LSU 2, Florida 2, Auburn 1......

In the grand scheme of things the streak matters because come 2014 as long as our champ is still the national champ.........another SEC team will be STRONGLY CONSIDERED.

Oh give it a rest. The sec team is going to be "highly considered" forever thanks to the playoff. It's not like they're just gonna forget about the other 7 titles. frick Bama.

It also cost LSU the title last year, having to face bama twice.

Oh I have absolutely nothing against ND. I've been pulling for them to return to being a successful program for awhile.

And I sure as hell will be pulling for them next week. Not really fun having the team you want to beat the most each year take 3 of 4.

I just don't care about other sec champs getting in. With LSU's last decade or so of success we're going to get the nod if we belong over the vast majority of the nation. The rest of the conference can go get fricked.

Alabama could have easily been 0-3 vs the 3 decent teams they played, easily and gave up a ton of yards. They are far from a lock

Bama is still playing possibly the worst #1 ranked team of all time.

Pitt had ND beat. but I aint even mad.

No change.

ND is well coached and disciplined. They play with good fundamentals. If they play a clean game, they can win. Bama struggled with all of the good teams that they played and even lost a game.

That's what people said about Ohio State 2002.

But not in 2006 vs Florida.
