Ryan Murphy said that last night's episode contained a clue as to where next season would be set And, Murphy did say that he wanted to set it somewhere that real horror exists

So... American Horror Story last night had mutants getting murdered in cold blood, a pinhead delivering a dead French girl's alien baby, a musical number shot in Technicolor, a priest literally getting raped by the devil, and a man being cremated alive. And my initial reaction was that this was one of the less insane episodes.

Sums it up pretty well

In Hell? Maybe the cremation furnace was the clue.

last year, someone made a comment about how evil asylums were. Murphy said it would be a different kind of clue this year, and you would have to be really quick to catch it.

Maybe something with witches? It was strange that the song played on the jukebox was "I'll put a spell on you." Also, Arden and the monsieur talked about pagan rituals when they were discussing how to discard of the nuns body.

There was also lots of talk about Rome. That would make it Italian Horror Story though.

It was strange that she actually talked abou the See Spot Run book, but I don't see how that could be a clue.

got this off of IMDB

quote:

Did anybody else notice that all of the artists listed in the juke-box have a connection with New Orleans?

Edith Piaf - Was called "Witch Queen of New Orleans"
Perry Como - Has a song "Way Down Yonder in New Orleans"
Screamin Jay Hawkins - Lived in New Orleans and New York
Shirley Ellis - Lived in New Orleans
Billie Holiday - Her only major film totled "new Orleans"

The only artist listed that doesn't have a dirsct connection to New Orleans is Bobby Vinton, but it should be said he and Perry Como are both from Canonsburgh Pennsylvania.

Better be about plantations or Nola . I could see them doing a Madam LaLaurie type of story. That would be really scary .

I finally watched last night's episode. Ryan Murphy lied about half the cast dying...

Looking forward to the last 3 episodes. But there's a lot of explaining to do with the aliens, Threadson, and then tying it back to the modern day.

That lets them use all the stuff they couldn't fit this year:

VooDoo/Zombies, Vampires, Fortune Tellers, slavery, dark alley type stuff... all set against a facade that could be festive or genteel depending on how they want to frame it.

Exactly what I was thinking.

For those who are unfamiliar: Delphine LaLaurie

I would love somebody trying to flesh out a story similar to the Mayfair Chronicles from Anne Rice's The Witching Hour. Generations of witches in the Garden District.
