even if this was the case bringing in a top offensive cordinator would change things. I don't think a top OC would just let les do this, he would hopefully work with les to bring a better game plan that works with the personal

stud is a converted o-line coach to offensive cordinator because our OC got parkinsons don't expect much out of him.

The correct term is "couldn't care less" because if you could care less, it means you care

Actually I worked with a starting OG for Les when he was at Okie State and he said the exact opposite of you.

Les and his OC go over a gameplan the week of the game. They decide on a 60-40 system pass and run. Its mostly 60 to the run. The entire week of practice they use this to sim a game like feel. The OC has the entire playbook to call and Les has the option to call run or pass at anytime. Les still doesnt call the play, its still the OC. All Les says is pass or run. He also told me, the qbs told him that Les may do this 9 or 10 times a game only.

Before spouting off stuff, make sure you know it for fact.

You have no idea what you are talking about. College football on the offensive side of the ball has past our coaches up. We need a new OC that can look Les Miles in the face and tell him what direction our offence will go in just like our DC.

So you're telling me Les gives 3 running plays about 30 different names.

For anyone who thinks Miles didn't have a hand in the last 3 plays with 2+ min left you are crazy. Stud is a "yes" man that why he was placed as OC.

And if for some insane reason he didnt know what was being called( he hears every play through that head set) then he is grossly incompetant.

If we would have run three running plays, even if we pick up zero yards, and we punt. Good chance we luck out and win. But, the bottom line is, Clemson knew what we would do and prepared for it for five weeks. We did nothing different. They won.

The offensive production(strategy/playcalling et.al) is Miles' responsibility as Head Coach-- its utterly unbelievable that folks are still blind to this. If he makes a change in the OC position, then perhaps it will indicate that Stud has more input than we think. If he stays with the same personnel, its pretty clear that he is the problem and will continue to be the problem. Just reflect back on LSU's offense the last several years-even prior to Stud. They have shown some signs of progress but overall they have been inconsistent, disfunctional and predictable.

Vegas tell your OG friend he is an idiot. Yes they go over game plan all coaches do. when it comes to game MILES runs our offensive calls.
Heres how it goes
LSU ball,3rd and 20
Stud"Hey coach its 3rd and long, a throw to the tightend or a quick slant to a reciever might get us the yards, THEY ARE STACKING THE LINE,they even brought in the trainer, ball and towel boy and the mascot, the only thing we have to worry about is the safety playing 60 yards off the ball. What ya think about it coach?
Miles hears this, chews on grass, adjusts his hat, ponders on it for less than a second the he says" LETS RUN THE BALL BETWEEN THE CENTER AND GUARD, I THINK WE MIGHT CATCH THEM BY SUPRISE!"

Oh yeah except for that overthrown one, that we can count on from him at least once per game. He has no touch on his long passes and doesn't give his WR's even a chance of completion because he overthrows the long ball consistently.

Well that pass to Boone was about 1" overthrown and actually hit him in the hands. Yes, it was overthrown but not bad at all. Could be argued that it was a catchable ball. It happens.
FYI... That play was wide tha frick open. If we cant count on Mett to make that pass, than we shouldn't be in the game to begin with. The play call was money and the route was naked. Ever think that maybe....JUST MAYBE the execution was poor and not the play calling?[/quote

Exactly. That pass on 2nd & 2 was aPerfect call and Clemson didnt see it coming at all. It was a throw my 6 year old can make. The wr was wide open for a 1st down.

Play calling on offense has sucked for many years. Thank God for our Defense or we would never be in many games. We are the only team in the SEC. that wins with just Defense!
All decisions should go thru the Head Coach! And since Miles has been the HC at LSU some of his decisions, like throwing 3 times with 2:43 to play, proves that he is an IDIOT!![/quote

Except the facts say otherwise. 4/5 of LSU's top offenses, EVER, have been miles coached teams.
An idiot? Yeah , in 8 years he has won 10 games 6/8 , which has literally NEVER HAPPENED IN THE SEC , let alone at LSU( 11 wins in 5/8 years). 3 SEC west titles , 2 SEC titles , 3 bcs games (winning 2), 2 BCSCG, 1 BCSC, has won more games than any SEC team and only 3 other fbs teams have more wins. YES HE IS AN IDIOT.

I HATE OUR IGNORANT AND ENTITLED FAN BASE.

They act like LSU wins just on talent. They fail to see programs that have recruited BETTER THAN LSU and are dumpster fires.
All they need to do is look at Texas, USC , and auburn. I'm convinced some of these LSU "fans" would rather have 500 yards of offense and lose over 250 yards of offense and win.

Totally correct!

They do not realize how awesome we have it at this moment. They want the wide open offense because it looks pretty and has a bunch of highlights. I will take W's.

Everyone is frustrated after this game, but one play 4th and 16 should not happen against this defense or any defense

That's happening everywhere in college football. Major programs are breaking their offensive records because of more games, a ton or rent-a-wins a season, and top-heavy/bottom dweller talent distribution.

You wanna know how I know this? Because while Miles is "breaking all these offensives records"....we still rank on average around 80th in the country on offense.

How's that for rationality?
