After watching the Orange Bowl tonight, I'm beginning to wonder if LSU would have been better off in the long run if at the end of the 2004 season Bertman had told Saban to head for Miami, let Fisher coach the Capital One Bowl, then made Jimbo the HC after the bowl game. We damn sure would have a better offense than we have now!

If Rich Rod's wife let him take the Bama job, Les would likely be running the SEC. We can play the if game all night...

If Bo Rein doesn't die in a plane crash...

And who would be the DC? It wouldn't be Chavis.

The main reason Chavis is at LSU is because Les's seat was starting to smoke at the end of 2008 after the Mallaveto experiment.

and we would have inexplicable losses every year just like Jimbo pulls at FSU.

No, Les brought in Chavis from outside, instead of promoting within, like he he did with those two.

Just like he did with Stud.

Another topic for another thread that I'm sure hasn't been discussed.

I'd rather Miles than Jimbo.

All I would like is a proven OC.

I couldn't have said it better. Miles has his faults, to be sure, most are his stubbornness and loyalty to his coaching staff.

I'd still rather him than Jimbo.

I'm not jumpin on Jimbo's band wagon after beating Northern Illinois. Yes we have offensive problems anyone denying this is a fool. Les needs a different O/C.

Million dollar questions is---Does Les feel like he needs a different O/C?

Anyone know since 2008 where our total offense has been ranked by year?

Jimbo underachieves big time with players of equal talent to LSU's. Look at the recruiting classes

2012 FSU #6 LSU #18
2011 FSU #2 LSU #6
2010 FSU #10 LSU #6
2009 FSU #7 LSU #2

People complain about 2-3 Loses a year at LSU, but want a coach that has 2-3 loses at florida state, in the ACC?

We avergae over 30 pts a game under miles.

2002 and 2004 were abysmal offenses. Worse than anything weve seen under miles.

bullshite, it was because tenn fired a proven coach and look at them now. Chavis has said repeatedly that miles is one of the best in the business and loves working for him. So Miles is the only reason why chavis is at LSU. He has zero ties to LSU.

We lost to Clemson. I know we think were better than every team on the earth, but Clemson isn't that bad.

FSU lost to NC State.
Last year they lost to Wake Forest and Virginia

FSU beat Clemson. No, Clemson isn't that bad, but it's amusing to watch people shite on FSU when they won their conference, and their bowl game, and beat the pants off a team we just lost to.

Jimbo definitely wouldn't be my first choice for a coach but plenty of top programs wouldn't want Miles either given our offensive struggles year after year. Talk about doing less with more...

THEY LOSE MORE GAMES WITH PLAYERS OR EQUAL TALENT!

HOW ARE WE DOING LESS WITH MORE?

LSU also inexplicably loses games they shouldn't despite having superior talent. Les has a lot in common with Jimbo in that regard. That was sort of the point.
