I had the pleasure of attending the early shoot around and I thought it was very telling. Smiht, Lopez, gravy, mason, ryno working. Towards the end AD came out to stretch.
If I'm Rivers I am out there. If I am EG, I am at least stretching out there. You want your core? They were out there working on shots.

The other guys may have been getting treatment in the locker room.
If our core is Smith, Lopez, Mason, Vasquez, and Anderson, we're pretty fricked.

I get that they may be getting treatment, but rivers needs a damn shot more than treatment.
No surprise guys like Lopez, gravy, and ryno were out there. They are our biggest contributors.

Rivers gets nothing but praise for his attitude and work ethic so I'm not going to assume he's purposely not out there working. Plus his shot isn't really that bad, it's more that he can't make layups and floaters.

His finishing issues may be more about size and weight. If he was lifting, then so be it.

No offense, but you saw the early shoot around and not the early early shoot around.
Guys get there 3-4 hours before game time and work out a bit.

It was just Rivers out there by himself, practicing lay-ups. He went 4 for 16.
