How come it seems that SEC and BIG 10 powerhouse teams never seem to schedule each other during the regular season? It seems that all NY Day Florida Bowls are riddled with these matchups yet somehow they can never work out any regular season games. I know LSU played Ohio St home and home back in the early 80s. What would it take for AD's to even begin discussion to schedule some of these matchups?

Not only LSU related but OSU scheduled UGA/Tenn/Vandy and it just hasn't worked out yet for any of them

I would love for LSU to play a home and home w/ Michigan or Ohio State.

I know our AD prefers the powerhouses like Towson and if we get a strong a game against another BCS conference school we'll play it in Dallas or Atlanta.

Because it makes no sense to play good teams OOC when you can get 4 easy wins OOC to pad your record and get you to a better bowl game.

Last year we had a tough OOC and the gumps had a cushy one. Oklahoma State had a tough OOC and won their conference with one loss yet look who got in. Easy or tough scheduling doesn't matter, it is a bout running one conference and the political clout in sports media.
