Everyone says how great a 10 win season is. I think that used to be the case when less games were played, but it's not as big of a deal anymore. If you look at the bcs top 25, 20 of the 25 teams have 10 wins. Les Miles is the 5th highest paid head coach in the country. I think top 10 finish after the bowl game is what expectations should be. We'll probably drop past 10 this year after the loss to Clemson. We'll have finished in the top 10 for 2 of the last 5 years. That's what's frustrating to me as an LSU fan. We consistently bring in top 10 classes, pay our head coach top 10 money and end up a top 10 team 40% of the time the last 5 years

Really. Not as weak as the OP. How many people need to say the same thing. Go cheer for a different team.

Who brings in the top 10 classes? Oh. Are you an LSU recruits itself kind of guy too?

Coaching and recruiting aren't the same thing. You have to do both well to be successful, idiot.

Nobody questions that Les & Co. bring kids to campus, the question is whether they develop them and gameplan effectively.

Do you have anything else to say than "go cheer for a different team"? You are about as creative as Miles.

I would take David Shaw, Urban Meyer, Will Muschamp, Brian Kelly, Chris Peterson, Gary Patterson, Steve Spurrier, Chip Kelly, and Mike Sumlin over Les Miles. I think they would all have at least the same level of success with the potential to have even more.

I don't care about winning 14 games, I just want to look like a good, complete, football team that doesn't struggle with bad teams consistently and that can get a first down in the 4th quarter on a fricking 2nd and 2. I'd rather have an 8 win season where I enjoyed watching than a 10 win season like this one where I have to watch us struggle with Ole Miss, and Arkansas, and Auburn, and Towson...

I rather agree, especially when you consider the types of schedules we played in the 70's and 80's compared to today. Then we didn't play teams like Towson, Northwestern State but played 6 SEC games and 4 or 5 good OOC games. Hell, in 1984 OOC was Arizona, USC, Notre Dame, Tulane in 1986 we had A&M, Miami Ohio, North Carolina, Notre Dame and Tulane. Back then, Tulane still had blood flowing through them. We went 9-2 in 1986 with our losses being to Miami of Ohio and Ole Miss, won the SEC and then lost to Nebraska in the Sugar Bowl. By the way, we had to have Auburn beat Alabama for us to go to the Sugar Bowl even though we beat Alabama at Legion Field that year. The screwing by the SEC has been going on forever.

We have added two more SEC games yet our OOC can often times be horrible no interest teams and when we get good ones we go to Dallas and Atlanta to play them instead of Tiger Stadium.

I believe if Les Miles is the 5th highest paid head coach in the country and LSU finishes in the Top Ten in national recruiting annually, LSU should finish 1st through 6th in final ranking after the bowl games.
