Im sick to my stomach today and getting sicker reading most of these comments today.
Does anyone really recognize how well their QB played last nite? May have been on of the gutsiest efforts that Ive ever seen, reminded me of the Rocky movies. Our defense was all over the field and we looked like a pro team most of the nite. If any recruit watched this game they saw how much havoc our defense can cause and would want to be a part of that. Our offense continues to try to get too many people involved and we cant get anyone in a rhythm. RB's Wr's or RB's.
Can we give Clemson some credit?

Would have been a great game had we not absolutely fell apart in the 4th. Should have beaten them by 2 TD's IMO

Oh, they should get a lot of credit. They stepped up and had a better game plan, and dominated this game. They were the much better team.

Good Lord. Our offense got manhandled by one of the worst defenses in college football. That's the problem.

Also, LSU has to be the worst team in college football when it comes to preserving a lead.

We had him hurting and clueless but then have him time to recover. As good as he was, our D line had him sorted out until they got tired.

Final score sucked and we should have picked up more points but the family and I had a great time.

I disagree strongly! We play to the skill level of our opponent. Look at ole miss and Arkansas. Two teams we should have demolished.

Clemson came wanting to win and LSU showed up waiting for it to be over. Les Miles=Charly Mac.

I'm sure somebody else saw the game you did, but most people on this board were probably watching the LSU stinker.

Boyd was amazing but he doesn't play defense.

Clemson played a great game, and it was fun to watch their OC try to work around the problems Mingo and Montgomery were giving their O-line. He worked in screens, mixed up run plays to the inside and outside, threw quick underneath routes to make us pay for playing the corners so far back to prevent big plays.

Boyd played out of his mind at the end of the game and showed a lot of toughness. It was a great effort by that team.

The LSU defense looked excellent too, until the very end when they were gassed, and Mingo and Montgomery went out, and our corners just couldn't keep up anymore.

But the LSU offense was miserable and took all of the joy out of watching the game. You can't say it was a great game when one team doesn't have a functional offense at all and gets dominated statistically.

You know who else had a great game, Jeremy Hill. Wait, correct that, he had a great 3 quarters. Les didn't use him in the 4th.

You saw a great gameplan by Clemson defene, and a very unimaginative LSU offense. Clemson chose to utilize the same gameplan every other defense that played us well used this year with great success. Load the box and minimize our ability to effectively run the ball. Make Mett & Stud try to beat you passing the ball. Clemson gambled they could get enough three and outs to stay in the game and eventually wear down the LSU defense. It worked magnificiently.

Of course they were helped by a total inability of MILES/STUD/METT to audible off the initial gameplan to make the Clemson Defense pay. The few times we tried screens they worked but we really did not utilize them much. We should have incorporated some misdiretion plays to take advantage of an extremely aggresive Clemson run defense. Of course our offensive line was very ill-prepared to play this game. It was is if they watched no film at all or were not motivated to play.

Defensively LSU def backs should have been playing much closer to the receivers. They were playing like they were trying to take away the long ball. The issue was Boyd rarely had time to throw the long ball, but he constantly bailed himself out ALL FREAKING NITE by dumping off between 8-12 yards to wide open receivers. Terrible perfomance by our def backfield.

Miles and/or Stud amaze with their total inability to make effective offensive in-game adjustments.
