I wish you could use your hunting knife or fist fight with other players when you didn't have a weapon. Maybe they will add that in the stand alone.

The game has tons of different chat options. Cross game for the whole server, vehicle if you are in a vehicle only that group can hear or see what you type, team chat, direct which is anyone within a certain distance of you. They were using direct then switched to cross game at the end of video 2.

PC Question: Could I play this game or others on just a normal laptop? My laptop has around 6 GB of RAM or so. I know it's not a lot. Not really looking in to seriously gaming on pc. Just curious. There are a couple games I'd like to mess around with.

Doubt it. It's not the ram but the video card.
I played it on a laptop before I built my PC but mine has a decent mobile vid card. I still had to turn the graphics down some and it wasn't real smooth.
Bruce played it on his laptop and had to turn the graphics ALL the way down and had serious input lag. It's more frustrating than anything.
Even a game that looks like it has simple graphics like the new Worms Bruce couldn't play on his laptop.

Yes...built in voice chat when you get close to people.
Allows for some intense discussion and negotiation if the other survivors don't shoot on sight.

have the hackers made this DayZ not worth it. One of the games that originally helped me decide to build a pc, but heard the hackers have made it not worth it. I'd like to go lone wolf and see how long I can survive.

I might have to make the time to learn the controls of this game and give it another shot. Hated it when I gave it a go months ago. Pretty much goes against any PC shooter I've played

What, the game? Looks fun as anything, but if I'm too derp to know how to even pick up an item, I'm going to have a bad time.

There are some articles where they mention it might. They wanna make sure the PC version is good first tho. Think they said if sales are good enough they would port it to console

I honestly don't find the hacking to be as bad as it was a few months back. When it was 1 map and a few servers the game was still new and there were tons of hackers. Now I don't run into nearly as many.

I, for one, am glad for PC exclusives. They will help fuel the demand for my side project/llc
