It's a hyper realistic survival MMO. Lot's of stuff to do. You spawn in with basically nothing and have to collect various things in order to survive. You have to worry about zombies but the real danger is PvP like in the videos above.
Right now it's just a mod of Arma 2 but they are making a stand alone due sometime next year.

PC only I presume. I wonder what the PC requirements will be. My computer is still pretty good but approaching being dates for newer games.

Spawn on a coast with a bandage, a flashlight, and some painkillers (private hives give you custom load outs) There are towns with cars,guns and zombies. Other players try to set up camps and kill other enemy players. There isn't a "set" thing to do. You can try and kill enemy players, save other people, survive in the wild on your own, kill zombies, race cars (lol) fly planes, etc. Takes a decent computer to run the game at 30+ fps though

Yea PC only. You can download the Arma II Demo version and if your PC will run that then it will run the DayZ mod.
You need Arma II Combined Operations to run it. It's normally $29.99 but lot's of places have it on sale right now. I just looked and it's $17.99 on Steam. Amazon did have it on sale and I think GreenManGaming.com did as well.
