At one time a sequel to Dumb and Dumber was in the works, but Jim Carrey had a dispute with New Line so they scrapped it.

Great choice

I don't really see where you could take it. Seems to have been a very self contained film. With "The Truman Show", you could pretty much pick up where you left off and make it more about Truman adjusting to the real world and maybe stopping them from doing the show again. Minority Report it just seems to have run its course within the film. Love Minority Report, but just don't see any material for it.

That film shouldn't have been made in the first place, so it certainly doesn't deserve a sequel.

Most of these movies left off in interesting places but I don't want to revisit them. Particularly district 9. One of the few times I've been really sad during a movie. I love the ending and a sequel could damage that, at least for me.

I thought that the sequel was already being worked on

LINK

Just googled it, and it's good to hear, but they continually promise the Incredibles 2, so hopefully it will happen. Just seems that like The Incredibles that it will be tough to one-up the villain, since they are both among Disney's best.
