Cam Jordan, Jabari Greer, and Lofton are good players IMO. Robinson, Hicks, and Vilma are pretty good. Everyone else can go IMO. Dick Lebeau and maybe Sexy Rex could get them to be okay

The DB backfield is just laughable for an NFL team to be fielding. I'm not sure where we dug some of these no names up from

I'd keep Jordan, Hicks, Greer and Jenkins. Everyone else can GTFO

I wonder how we'd be if we'd have hired Nolan instead of Spags.

As far as legit talent?

Cam Jordan
Akim Hicks
Bunkley
Lofton
Hawthorne
Greer (maybe)

Gregg Williams wasn't 'terrible' with the same talent last year.

Jordan, Hicks, Bunkley, Lofton and Greer are pretty good. Galette, IAQ and PRob have some potential.

Last year's defense was horrible as well. If any of Gregg Williams' defenses would played with an inconsistent offense that has failed as much on 3rd down as this year's offense has, then we would witnessed those defenses give up this type of yardage as well.

Jordan, Hicks, and Lofton. Bunkley's good but probably in the wrong system. Greer had his days but he's older now.

There isn't another sure fire starter on the roster.

I would keep Lofton, Jordan, Greer, Hicks, Hawthorne, the two rookie corners, for starters.

Simple answer? No. Were fielding a starting defense made up of backups and two or three average starters. It should look markedly different next season, and completely different two to three seasons by now. We need to draft defense and package some of our spare offensive weapons with bad defensive contracts for more picks.

we were warned when GW came in years back he was a pretty terrible evaluator of talent, we're paying for that now

Yeah this never happens in the NFL.

1) who on offense that OTHER teams will feel is worth a Damn are you going to "package".... Brees, Graham, maybe colston? Nobody else is going to trade for a crappy defensive player with a bad contract for anyone else (notthat they would anyway).

2)this isn't the nba, there is a constant stream of un draftedand drafted rb and wr coming in each year that teams feel like they can plug in in for cheap.

A lot of times when teams were gaining big chunks of yardage running the ball on us Bunkley wasn't out there. He isn't on the nickel or dime defenses. And really, teams ran off tackle most of the time. In the Denver game, Tom Johnson was getting pushed around like a junior college player. That was a game where Bunkley didn't play because of injury.

I'd like to keep Bunkley but wouldn't be mad if he left either. Hawthrone was injured a portion of the year but I thought he played okay when he got back out there.

Our secondary can't tackle, it is pathetic to watch. Of all the things the defense has done wrong this year, that takes the cake for me.

Looking at it from the wrong angle. Williams used to and Spags realized you have to blitz almost every play Bc we can't get pressure with the front four and the backend cannot hold up for really any length of time. The answer is better players. Spags is a proven commodity

You wouldn't like the answer if I gave it to you.

We need to see where Spag takes this, but it is quite possible that the best we could do with this level of talent is what we had with Greg Williams.
