So I went to playstation's website and entered the connection code error I was getting (80130128) and all it says is that I have to wait 7 days because it was activated/deactivated too many times.
What does that mean? What was activated too many times? It connected fine then froze up and now I have to wait a week just to try again?
Anyone have any other ideas?

Throw your ps3 out the window and plug in your xbox. Should fix the problem.

From reading more, I think it's referring to activating the system but I didn't have an account on the ps network. I just created one so will try to activate under that name and see what happens. If it doesn't work, I will just wait a week and try again.
eta: Doesn't work because I can't connect. A little orange light was flashing on the front and but not sure if that was wireless or not. When I tried to set it up again to my internet it no longer even offers to scan for wireless. Only allows me to plug in cable. Guess i'll go buy a 30' one later.

Yea it said wait 7 days.
AJF, I just took it down to a friends house and hardwired it to his since it wouldnt connect to mine. I'll go back later. I had version 3.5 or something and the latest is 4.5, I think. Maybe once it's updated, it will help since all the problems started when I tried the update at my house

If you were able to connect at your friend's house, then you should update there with the hardwire. Your update would only take about 10 minutes, give or take. Hope it works out.
