Anyone play this on PC?

I love WWII and military history in general and am wondering if this would be a fun MMO to try out.

So been playing and this is actually pretty cool game. I love WWII and vehicular combat so this fits perfectly for me. Especially since it is free to play.

very fun game but once you get to tier 7 and above you pretty much need to have premium to make the grind almost tolerable. you will also start losing money even in a win in some cases at 7 or 8 and will lose money at 10 even with a win and premium.

but like i said its a very fun game and everyone should at least try it up to tier 5 with a goal of maxing out at tier 7 with the T29, IS, T71, SU-152, and 13-75 all being good tanks to aim for.

My goal is to get a Sherman. My Grandpa was a gunner in one in the battle of the bulge.

He told me about a time where they were driving around in a town and turned a corner and a Tiger tank was there. Sherman's were no match for a tiger. The tiger shot at them and hit right below them. They ran the hell out of there before the tiger could reload.

I am lucky to be here today Thank you shitty Tiger gunner

thats a good line of tanks. M4 is nice and the E8 and E2 are both pretty good tanks at tier 6

yup. it branches after the M4 Sherman to the other 2 Shermans, the E8 or E2.

you can skip researching engines and radios at the early tiers. tracks are what increase the load limit which is needed some of the time to put a new gun and turret on so you cant always skip those upgrades.

I have to admit I have no clue some aspects (spotting an enemy for instance) or how to be better at it. Thanks for the advice.

Pretty basic but a moving tank is easier to spot then one sitting still. All tanks have different view ranges and camo ratings. Radios extend how far you can transmit to teamates the location of enemy tanks. Theres a maximum view range of 500m while radios have a much larger range. That's why you can see red on the mini map but not actually see the tank because a friendly has spotted them outside your tanks view range.

Some other tips are don't use auto aim. Mouse wheel zooms into a sniper mode for better accuracy at longer ranges. Bushes provide extra camo until you shoot. All tanks have the least armor in th rear, then sides, with the front having the highest. There are also weak spots, things like a machine gun port and commanders hatch on top of the turret. All of those little things aren't just for show but have there own armor values. Also how sloped or angled the armor is will add to it's value.

Those are just some basic things but there's so much more. That stuff will come with time if you get more serious.

Guess I coulda just posted this video that explains camo/view range/spotting. The people who make wot are Russian so the grammar is bad in spots.

What do you mean exactly?

It is free to play, so no cost to play it.
There are premium aspects if you want. to pay for them.

You get credits and research points for each battle. You can have 7(?) tanks in your garage. You upgrade them with research points. You research the next tank tier up then buy them with your in game currency.
