Will you mount your kids first buck?

I have yet to have one mounted myself and was thinking about if my little man got his first buck whether I would or not. What would the size limit be? Did any of ya'll mount your first? Thinking back I wish I would have it was a seven point not bad but not great either. Now when I kill a nice buck I think I will get one bigger to mount but the bigger has yet to get big enough

If its worth mounting I would. I wouldnt mount a 4 pt just because it is his first.

Yeah I guess an antler mount would be fine or maybe even a skull mount.

My dad mounted my first buck which happened to be my first deer. It was a really pretty 8 point though with about an 18" inside spread Most people would have mounted it unless they already had something bigger on the wall

I was kind of thinking of a skull mount if it's a small one. I have been to peoples houses where they mounted small 6 pointsand thought it was cool that they did it.

I told my little girl that I would mount her first deer. I didn't say buck, but I figured it was implied. She proceeded to tell me that she wanted to kill a doe because her room is a girl room and boys aren't allowed. She also said she could dress up a girl deer. I don't know how I'm gonna handle it when she actually kills one.

That's gonna be one of those things that someone finds long afte y'all are gone and asks "wtf did they mount a Doe for?!"

My son killed a 4 pt wed night. We're gonna skull mount it. He just killed another buck with the ranch hand. They think it's 8 or 9 so we'll see if it's worth mounting.

I would never mount a deer that I shot but If my kid gets one and wants it mounted I would consider it a Christmas present.
