Highly motivated opponent with good passing offense vs a possibly uninterested LSU team that had higher hopes for its season.

It feels like the recipe for an uncomfortably close game.

Glad I got that our of the way. I hope we drag them through shards of broken glass.

Les Miles will get this players ready to play. Plus, numerous underclass Juniors will need this game to showcase their potential as a pro, so motivation is not quite an issue.

noone knows. I know Dabo is motivated, but remember, Clemson thought it had a shot at the BCS tooo so they are in the same boat we are in.

Everything I have read from the players and coaches says they want to play this game. They are looking forward to it. It's the negatigers that are "uninterested". Outside of the Cotton Bowl , this was the best opponent in my opinion. Clemson is better than Nebraska or Michigan and is a better game for LSU nationally, plus we are the only game on in primetime.

LSU's m/o all season.

Yeah but this has been our M/O for several years and we usually destroy our bowl opponent. It'll be tight at half but I'd be surprised if we don't come out at half and hand them their arse.

Except for when we don't of course. This game has the capital one bowl against penn state written all over it.

Sure, I am. The LSU away team has been less than stellar this year and this is Clemson's superbowl. Probably will be a lot closer than most suspect. I mainly hope LSU has a consistent O game. If so, I think the P&G wins easily.

pretty much status quo for LSU football, n'est pas?

who besides bama, oregon and tam really blew people out? we're a top 10 team with strengths and weaknesses...clemson is a top 15 team with the same dynamic. this game could very well be "uncomfortably close" and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if it plays out that way. of course, then we will have to endure the more obtuse segment of tigernation that thinks anything less than total and complete domination is just cause for exhibiting what twats and superdouches they are. it's the world we live in.

harsh....even by rant standards. I'll be happy with a ten point win....notice I didn't say "settle."

Clemson will get curb stomped. Then we'll all get wasted and ring in the new year.

When Les Miles is your coach, even the most mediocre teams can be in a close game with a decent chance to win at the end. Miles makes sure the playcalling and execution allow for that.

Always nervous about an LSU game. Towson was beating us in the 1st Quarter & that game was in doubt until late in the 4th. How can I not be concerned.
