Had one of my sons buddy get bite today. His dad beat him off but the ripped his leg pretty bad & messed up his knee where he was trying to roll him. It was 39 degrees but was raining.

Isn't that pretty strange for a gator to be out and about, much less aggressive, when it's in the 30's?

I'm not questioning you, just curious. I live on the mobile delta and there are literally hundreds of alligators in this area and I haven't seen one in weeks

Dang that sucks

Hope he can heal up. Didn't realize gators were still out this time of year.

yes it is,,, i had pictures of one sunning about 10 days ago when the temp rose though. Normally they are very passive if they come out this time of the year. Similar to a snake on a cool morning during early turkey season.

I saw a bunch during the first split. Made me nervous after walking through the marsh. Didn't think they were even a thought after that freeze this week

No, that really sucks man. This girl I was in school with got chomped on by a gator and fricked her up pretty good. Dunno how she got to keep her arm, but lost a finger or two

This is why I don't know how y'all crazy coonasses hunt during teal season. Good Lord I would be a nervous fricking wreck. My hats off to y'all with balls enough to race a gator to y'all's birds

He'll be alright. He's a redneck that's bitching cause the frickin gator tore his waders I named this break the gator hole several years ago and would not take my dog here ever because there are so many. Wouldn't thought about being attacked myself.

Water temps are not = to outside temps. It takes several days of cold weather to bring the water temps down. We have a couple of upper 30 degree days then a couple of 70 degree days.
