Saw some YouTube videos saying they were almost through the breakin of their pistol.

Is this total bs?

How do you break it in. Shoot it differently than after breakin?

Think the manuals say fire at least 300 rounds of FMJ through semi autos before you try to carry it for duty or CC. Least both my Shield and Kimber had those instructions

I understood breaking in guns as running 200-300 rounds through them

I guess shooting hundred of rounds can make someone feel like its a reliable gun but I really don't see it shooting any different.

I would love to hear how that happened and what Springfield had to say about it.

And be sure and shoot a couple boxes of what you will be carrying. I cant tell you how many people I see buy a few hundred rounds of target ammo and run it through, then load it with the good stuff and never fire it. Come of $40 and shoot a few of your CC load choice.
