I will never go back--terrible customer service and the owner was not friendly at all.

I had a chicken dish that was raw and did not have time to wait for another and did not want a new one to go to sit in my car for hours because I had multiple appointments that day. They did not offer any other option--not impressed.

It seems like that spot is cursed, I've seen a lot of Restaurants die there. I'm surprised Niche has lasted this long

I've never seen anyone on this board talk highly enough about the place to make me want to go there.

How's that place on Exchecquer Dr. that used to be Samuel's doing, and did another restaurant open up near them?

True story, I almost purchased this building in an auction three years ago.

I didn't and instead I travel every week.

I work a block from Exchequer and I never eat at that place. The food is average at best, but they always seem to have a good crowd at lunch time.

A new place called Rouge Grill opened up not too far from it and it is also pretty meh. Tried it about a week ago and I probably won't be going back. I wish there was something worth a shite in this Industriplex area.

It was a nice moneymaker for Sammy, especially with the bylaw written in when the Industripex area was built, that no other restaurant could open in the there.

Yeah, I liked Sammy but I never liked the food at Samuels. I've never been to Exchecquer because other posters like yourself said it was meh.

Sad to hear Rouge Grill is meh too.

I've eaten there a few times and have never walked away feeling like my food was any better than 'just ok'.

I'm pretty sure he had a family member (R.J.) that was involved in the development so that's probably the reason for that.

As for Sammy, I liked him alot too. He was a real cool guy and its sad to see how quickly the restaurant closed after his death, I'm pretty sure that some internal family issues contributed to that. But, I swear that I think the menu is still exactly the same. Its like they just changed the name on the sign

I, too, work a block from the exchequer and have never eaten there. My coworker has brought food in from there a couple of times and it hasn't look appealing to me.

I have had a burger from Rouge Grill and I thought it was better than Riverside. I will definitely go back.

The burger I got was a 1/2 pound, not over cooked, juicy and had great flavor. It thought it was pretty darn good. However, Burgersmith is my absolute favorite.
