The Sun Bowl is an old and respectable bowl. They should really consider moving it to San Antonio and just eliminating the Alamo Bowl

San Antonio would run it into the ground too. They're having to resort to giving away Alamo Bowl tickets in exchange for food bank donations:

maybe more teams should decline bowl invitations instead of spending the holidays in "shitty cities"

I went to the Sun Bowl one year and had a good time.

It is what you make of it.

You think it will be that bad with Barkley out?
I really don't see the game being close. GT is awful all around this year and the only advantage they ever have is teams seeing their type of offense only once a year. They've been blown out in every bowl game under Paul Johnson because with any extra amount of time to prepare for the triple option, its no longer and advantage. And even with USC's poor performance this year, GT doesn't match up atheltically with USC at all.

I didn't realize Iowa, Air Force and Utah were all blow outs. If I remember correct they were all ~7 pt losses

Iowa was a 10 point loss.

The other two were closer than I recall. My mistake.

Still doesn't take away from the fact that GT's offense is much less efficient in bowl games, when the opposing team has a month to prepare for the triple option.

I think these dinners the teams have to go to together and pretend to be friends is dumb and unnecessary anyway.

Isn't Williams another POS that was recruited by AU?
