Has anyone spent the 10 bucks for it?

Is it comparable to the PC version as far as gameplay? (I don't really care about the in-game graphics)

Nobody cares about graphics in Football Manager.

Except I always can tell when one of those specks commits a clear penalty against my team.

Which is why I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on the Ipad version and save 30 bucks. I just want to know if it as in-depth as the computer version.

All I want is correct team and competition logos. Oh, and face cut-outs for the players.

Thanks, Sortitoutsi.

So I've never played Football Manager. Hell, I hadn't even heard of it before the creation of this board. Anyone want to give me the rundown as to why this is such a popular game?

It's just wildly addicting, I honestly can't tell you why I play so much. It's a well done game with probably too much depth to the gameplay, so it takes a while to make progress. It's kind of like sim city for your football club of choice. Just build it up and watch it, really not much satisfaction comes from the game. Just can't stop playing

I've spent hours and hours playing Sim City before. FM sounds interdasting.

I'd never heard of it until a few months ago and bought FM12, it had a bit of a learning curve and it took me about a month to actually get into it. Starting with a small club is not easy at all. Wage bills are small and transfer funds are $0. Takes a lot of loans and finding value in scouted players. Playing with a big club is kind of easy. fm 13 is a nice upgrade, I've built a dynasty with bayern in my 5 year

What exactly is FM? Do you ever play games or do you just manage a team?

Just manage the club. Literally can control every aspect of the club as if you were the actual owner.

I have been an avid Fifa Manager fan since FifaM07. I have played every single edition. I am thinking about getting FifaM13. I prefer FifaM because I get the player mugshots and the original club crests etc. little details. I've heard FM is a better game but never got around to trying it.
